I love Canon. I have an entry level SLR, the Rebel TX and it’s a couple of years old. It really depends on your price range, a good entry level can be $400-$600 and up. You could also look into compact SLR which has the quality of the point and shoot feature on an SLR but doesn’t have the option of changing lens for the variety. That would be a little less than an entry level, $300-$400.
